What Are You Doing Here?

Mar 15, 2026    Pastor James Wheeler

In 1 Kings 19:11-13, the prophet Elijah encounters God not in the wind, earthquake, or fire—but in a gentle whisper. In Elijah’s moment of exhaustion and discouragement, the Lord asks a piercing question: “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

God still asks His people that same question today.

When pressure rises and the spectacular fades, will we still pursue His voice in the stillness? In this message we explore how God meets us in the wilderness, restores our hearts, and commissions us for the next assignment. Through the prophetic pattern of Hazael, Jehu, and Elisha, we see how God brings pressure, purification, and restoration to prepare His church for the work ahead.

Don’t miss His whisper in the middle of the shaking. Your next commission may be waiting there.
